Molex SCSI Interface IC
SCSI, or Small Computer System Interface, is an interface used for connecting multiple peripheral devices to a host system. SCSI Interface ICs are Integrated Circuits (ICs) that allow for the control and management of SCSI devices. These ICs can bridge and transcode between two SCSI buses, allow for the termination of SCSI buses, or provide a clock signal on the SCSI bus. SCSI Interface ICs usually include integrated physics, allowing for the interface to perform all the necessary data handling, such as flow control and complex data transfers. Additionally, they may include bus arbitration logic such as priority assignment, so that all devices on the bus can share it without any conflicts.
