DG444/DG445 19-4705 Rev 4 6/04 Improved, Quad, SPST Analog Switches General Description New Features Plug-In Upgrades for Industry-Standard DG444/DG445 Maxims redesigned DG444/DG445 analog switches now feature on-resistance matching (4 max) between Improved R Match Between Channels (4 max) ON switches and guaranteed on-resistance flatness over Guaranteed R Over Signal Range (9 max) FLAT(ON) the signal range (9 max). These low on-resistance Improved Charge Injection (10pC max) switches conduct equally well in either direction. They guarantee low charge injection (10pC max), low power Improved Off-Leakage Current Over Temperature consumption (35W max), and an electrostatic dis- (< 5nA at +85C) charge (ESD) tolerance of 2000V (min) per Method Withstand ESD (2000V min) 3015.7. The new design offers lower off-leakage current per Method 3015.7 over temperature (less than 5nA at +85C). Existing Features The DG444/DG445 are quad, single-pole/single-throw Low R (85 max) (SPST) analog switches. The DG444 has four normally DS(ON) closed switches and the DG445 has four normally open Single-Supply Operation +10V to +30V switches. Switching times are less than 250ns for t ON Bipolar-Supply Operation 4.5V to 20V and less than 70ns for t . Operation is from a single OFF Low Power Consumption (35W max) +10V to +30V supply, or bipolar 4.5V to 20V sup- Rail-to-Rail Signal Handling plies. Maxims improved DG444/DG445 continue to be TTL/CMOS-Logic Compatible fabricated with a 44V silicon-gate process.
