SHUTDOWN CURRENT (A) LTC1347 5V Low Power RS232 3-Driver/5-Receiver Transceiver with 5 Receivers Active in Shutdown FEATURES DESCRIPTIO Low Supply Current: 300A The LTC 1347 is a 3-driver/ 5-receiver RS232 transceiver Five Receivers Kept Alive in Shutdown with very low supply current. In the no load condition, the ESD Protection Over 10kV supply current is only 300A. The charge pump only Operates from a Single 5V Supply requires four 0.1F capacitors. Uses Small Capacitors: 0.1F In Shutdown mode, all five receivers are kept alive and the Operates to 120kBaud supply current is 80A. All RS232 outputs assume a high Three-State Outputs Are High Impedance When Off impedance state in Shutdown and with the power off. Output Overvoltage Does Not Force Current Back The LTC1347 is fully compliant with all data rate and into Supplies overvoltage RS232 specifications. The transceiver can RS232 I/O Lines Can Be Forced to 25V operate up to 120kbaud with a 2500pF, 3k load. Both Without Damage driver outputs and receiver inputs can be forced to 25V Pin Compatible with LT1137A and LT1237 without damage, and can survive multiple 10kV ESD Flowthrough Architecture strikes.
