Circuit Breakers & Accessories

Circuit breakers are devices designed to protect electrical systems from excessive current, which can cause overheating and dangerous electrical fires. Circuit breakers can be manual or automatic; manual breakers require the user to reset them manually, while automatic breakers rely on a device such as a thermal overload switch to sense when the circuit exceeds its current rating.Accessories are devices connected to a circuit breaker or directly to an electrical system to add safety, convenience and flexibility to the circuit. Accessories can include alarm systems to alert building occupants in the event of a fire or other emergency, surge protection devices to protect against power surges, and specialized circuit breaker trip points to adjust the level of current allowed on the circuit.
