About Memory Connectors
Memory Connectors
Memory connectors are cables and connectors used in the installation for computer memory modules. Typically, a connector is used to plug the memory module into a slot on a motherboard, making it possible for the module to store and retrieve data from the computer. There are several different types of memory connectors, most of which are used in different types of computers. The most common type of connector is the SIMM (single in-line memory module), which is used in most PCs. Another type of connector is the DIMM (dual in-line memory module), which is often used in servers, as well as gaming PCs. Finally, the most recently developed type of memory connector is the SODIMM (small outline dual in-line memory module), which is specifically designed for laptops and is slightly smaller than the other types.
