Adapters are used to convert between various sizes of RF connectors, allowing engineers and technicians to use the same connector for different cable sizes or connector types. RF cable assemblies are often used to connect two devices, such as a receiver and antenna. They typically consist of a coax cable, with two or more RF connectors or adapters at either end.
