About Barrier Terminal Blocks
Api Technologies Barrier Terminal Blocks
Barrier terminal blocks are a type of electrical connector used in the wiring of a variety of electrical, electronic, and automotive applications. They are a specialized type of terminal block – a block of circuitry with multiple terminals for connecting wires, much like the PCB terminal blocks used to connect wires to a circuit board – but with a barrier between the power, ground, and neutral bus bars. This barrier serves to prevent accidental shorting of the power, ground, and neutral wires when installing the terminal blocks. Additionally, the barrier helps to separate, shield, and insulate the power, ground, and neutral wires to prevent crosstalk and electromagnetic interference.
