Modems

A modem is a device used to connect digital devices to a phone line or the internet. It is short for "Modulator/Demodulator" and is the component used to convert digital signals into analog signals and vice versa so digital devices can connect and communicate with the internet or a telephone line. Modems come in many varieties including landline, cable, and wireless. They are essential for connecting computers to the internet and transmitting data reliably at high speeds.
