LED Lighting Optics

LED Lighting Optics is an important part of LED lighting, as the way light is projected or gathered determines the illumination and efficiency of the LED light. LED optics consists of reflectors, diffusers, lenses, and other optical components that influence the direction and intensity of light. LED optics are used to focus, channel and spread the light of LED lamps for a variety of commercial and residential applications. LEDs produce a directional light beam, so optics are often used to control the shape of the light, spread the beam for wider coverage, and limit glare. These optics help to improve the energy efficiency of LED lighting by targeting the light more specifically to its intended area of illumination. Optics also allow manufacturers to create more specialized lighting solutions including spotlights, floodlights, and decorative lighting effects.
