Mica Capacitors

Mica capacitors are small and versatile capacitors that are constructed using layers of mica as the dielectric material. They were historically used in high-speed circuits, high frequency switching power supplies, and pulsed circuits. Mica capacitors are known for their stability, low losses and low dielectric absorption making them popular for oven-controlled oscillators and filters. They have excellent performance in temperature ranges from -55°C to + 220°C and feature high power dissipation, low dielectric losses, and excellent frequency stability. Mica capacitors are often used in combination with other capacitors such as ceramic or electrolytic capacitors.
