About Chipsets

Intel Chipsets

A chipset is a set of microchips on the motherboard of a computer. It helps the computer communicate with its internal components, such as the memory and other peripherals. It can also help with power management and other functions. Chipsets are made up of two components: the Northbridge and Southbridge. The Northbridge is responsible for connecting the CPU to the primary RAM and graphics card, while the Southbridge is responsible for connecting the CPU to peripherals, such as hard drives and sound cards.
