About RF System on a Chip - SoC
Texas Instruments RF System on a Chip - SoC
RF System on a Chip (RFSoC) is an integrated circuit (IC) that combines a radio-frequency (RF) transceiver with a complete SoC for radio design. It includes both analog and digital components that can be easily configured to make use of standard radio protocol stacks and provide integrated support for various radio applications. RF SoCs integrate the analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog functions needed for communicative operation with RF systems, including transmitters, receivers, modulators, and demodulators. Typically, RF SoCs include a processor core, memory, analog and digital peripheral interfaces, and also contain power management and signal conditioning components. This gives developers and hardware integrators the ability to quickly develop an entire product with a single device, instead of using separate ICs to create the functionality.
