The SK2485 with SOP-8 is a RoHS compliant RS-485/RS-422 IC manufactured by Suntek. It is an integrated transceiver designed for balanced digital communication applications using LANs and ASIs, making it suitable for data links such as point-to-point, multi-point, and/or multi-drop systems. The SK2485 features fast data rate switching, low power consumption, and high ESD protection, as well as low power standby mode, allowing for efficient power management. It also has two current loops with a range of -7.5V to +12V and is designed for asynchronous serial data transmission/reception using a TTL compatible logic level. Additionally, the SK2485 is capable of auto-addressing which enables it to adjust to the data rate having different transmission speeds.
