Hot swap voltage controllers, otherwise known as Hot Swap regulators, are used in voltage regulators or other power supply and switching applications to safely control the voltage during the process of switching on or off a load. These controllers are used in applications with high power and transient voltage spikes when changing loads. The primary function of a hot swap controller is to provide a controlled level of voltage when power is applied or removed. This prevents damage to the system and reduces the risk of premature component failure.
