About RF Switch ICs
RF Switch ICs
RF Switch ICs are a specialized type of integrated circuit designed to control the flow of RF signals between RF input and RF output ports. A radio frequency (RF) switch integrates a switch matrix to provide isolation, gain control, and dynamic range. Depending on the circuit design, the switch can provide multiple switching functions by cross-connecting two or more RF channels, commonly referred to as a multiplexer. RF switches can be used to route signals between two or more RF sources and a single RF load, to connect a single RF source to multiple RF loads, or to control the output power to an RF load from multiple RF sources. RF switch ICs support a wide range of signals, from low-frequency audio signals to high-frequency microwave signals, making them an essential element for electronic systems used for communication, sensing, radar, and other applications.
