Gelmec is a division of Marcom Electronic Components (UK) Ltd. It was established in 2002 to distribute and manufacture a wide range of Anti vibration materials and components. Initially to specialise in high end, low load, applications such as protection of Hard Disc Drives used in harsh environments Eg Vibration and shock protection of Mobile and hand held Pc�s. Particularly for applications such as Automotive, Aerospace, rail, truck and bus. Several components being developed from a soft gel material developed for the Space shuttle which can also be supplied with UL-94 V-0 flame retardant characteristics. Since then other Anti vibration materials and Components have been added and now include rubber stud mounts, Urethane Anti-vibration bushes, fan mounts and sleeves, Urethane sheets, HDD Shock boxes, High performance Silicone gel bushes and stud mounts, Industrial Mounts, all metal extreme mounts. They have Anti vibration Components to cover a load range from a 200g up to 600Kg and a temperature range from -180~200 Deg C.
