3M Locator Plate 3443-117 Instructions 1.0 General The Locator Plate 3443-117 is designed for the assembly of the following Euro (DIN 41 612 type) connectors, two-piece (adhesive) version: 62C64 - xxx - xx 62C96 - xxx - xx 62B64 - xxx - xx Note: This locator plate can only be used with press platen 3442-9, which must be ordered separately. August 2011 78-9101-4656-8 32.0 Assembly Procedure 2.1 Adjust press shut height. 2.2 Install press platen 3442-9. 2.3 Install locator plate. 2.4 Cut required cable length. 2.5 Remove adhesive liner. 2.6 Place cable correctly into connector cover. 2.7 Place cover with cable onto the connector body. 2.8 Place the connector covet down into the correct groove. 2.9 Assemble by lowering the press handle. 2.10 Raise press handle and remove the finished assembly. 2.11 Visually inspect the harness to ensure that the cover is fully locked and cable alignment is correct. The latch should be flush with the end of the connector (at both ends) and the cover should be flush with the rear face of the flange at both ends.
