ACT2801/ACT2801B integrates all the functions that a <10A Low Battery Leakage Current at HZ Mode backup battery pack needs, including switching charger, During Storage boost converter and LED indication. Boost Auto Turn-off at No Load and Push Button ACT2801/ACT2801B operates at 1.1MHz for switching Turn-on charger and 0.55MHz for boost converter allowing tiny Battery Over Current, Over Voltage, Over external inductor and capacitors. ACT2801/ACT2801B Temperature and Short Circuit Protections provides a direct power path from input to output with Boost Auto Startup with Load Detection programmable current limit while providing power to switching charger. Output has higher priority than Up to 2.0A Input Current Limit with Prioritized Power Path to Output battery charger if the programmed input current limit is reached. 5V+/-100mV Output Voltage in Boost Mode ACT2801/ACT2801B charges battery with full cycle of 1.1MHz/0.55MHz Switching Frequencies preconditioning, fast charge with constant current and 2.2uH SMD Inductor and Low Profile Ceramic constant voltage until end of charge. The battery Capacitor charger is thermally regulated at 110C with charge 4 LEDs Battery Level and Status Indication current foldback. Battery Impedance Compensation ACT2801/ACT2801B boost converter steps battery voltage up to 5V. Boost converter features high Full Cycle of Battery Charge Management Preconditioning, Fast Charge, Top off and End efficiency, constant current regulation, short circuit of Charge protection and over voltage protection. Charge Current Foldback at 110C Die Temperature ACT2801/ACT2801B provides 3.5mA constant currents to drive 4 LEDs to indicate battery level and charge IC Over Temperature Protection at 160C status.
