It covers the overview of the platform components, and the assembly procedures for some typical topology set- ups demonstrating several uses of the modular concept. An overview of the software package for an induction motor drive is also included. Intended audience The user manual is intended for power electronic engineers and designers who are familiar with power MOSFET-based converters, inverters and gate drivers, and who intend to build a modular set-up for investigating MOSFET suitability, switching optimization or proof-of-concept power electronic system. Infineon offers an easy-to-use platform intended for first evaluations of power MOSFETs in set-ups ranging from a single half-bridge to a three-phase inverter (motor drive topology). The platform provides an easy approach to power MOSFET paralleling, without the need for soldering processes on the Insulated Metal Substrate (IMS) boards. All the necessary connections are established through the onboard connectors. This offers a fast method of hardware requirement verification, as the platform can be used instead of various preliminary test designs, thus shortening the initial design phase.
