Server Anywhere
Adaptive Server Anywhere is a relational database management system designed specifically to meet the performance and scalability needs of mobile, embedded, and low-end server customers. The B-part of Adaptive Server Anywhere provides the Btrieve API, which is a persistent storage engine that provides a fast, reliable, and robust solution for storing data in ISAM (indexed sequential access methods) format. Btrieve allows applications to store and retrieve data from disk drives or other storage media with increased speed compared to other storage engines. It also supports advanced data management capabilities, such as data encryption, replication, and logging.
