EU Symbol: Not required EU Risk Phrases: None EU Safety Phrases: None Section 3 Composition 40 micron aluminium foil coated with an electrically conductive acrylic adhesive supplied on a removable silicone liner. Section 4 First Aid measures In cases of accidental ingestion, eye contact, persistent skin irritation, or other, seek medical advice. General: Ingredients which may themselves present a toxic hazard do not normally constitute a hazard when incorporated into the product. Tape is not a hazard in normal circumstances. Mouth: The tape should not be used in applications such as toys, where ingestion is possible. Eye: Avoid eye contact, which may result in mechanical abrasion damage. Skin: May cause irritation to persons with sensitive skins. The tape should not be used in applications where prolonged skin contact is possible e.g. medical plasters, bandages or hand protection tape. Section 5 Fire Fighting measures Extinguishing media: Cool with water spray, use any suitable extinguishing media. Special precautions: Tapes will burn in a general fire to produce toxic fumes. Breathing apparatus may be required. Section 6 Accidental release measures Sweep up and place in suitable containers for disposal. Store the tape at recommended temperatures and protect from dust, moisture, direct sunlight, corrosive and solvent fumes. Storage life is 6 months from date of despatch from manufacturer for technical properties. Wide widths (greater than 300mm) or adverse storage conditions may reduce shelf life. Section 8 Exposure controls and personal protection A good standard of personal hygiene should be maintained. Wash hands after use and especially before handling food. The tapes have not been formulated and tested for prolonged skin contact and should not be used as a medical plaster or as a hand protection tape. People with sensitive skin or those concerned about skin abrasion should take suitable precautions e.g. proprietary barrier cream or gloves. Section 9 Physical and chemical properties Solid roll of adhesive tape in various colours. Section 12 Ecological information The product is not classifiable as harmful to the environment. Biodegradation is expected to be poor, due to the products low water solubility. Section 13 Disposal consideration Dispose of as combustible non-toxic landfill to local regulations. Do not incinerate without suitable fume scrubbing equipment on stacks. Section 14 Transport information Non-hazardous, not classified under IMDG or ADR regulations.
