EG12000
The Aimco EG12000 is a programmable controller that supports both RS232 and RS485 serial communication protocols. RS232 is a point-to-point protocol designed primarily for short-distance communications. It supports up to 20kbps speeds between two devices. RS485 is a balanced, multi-point communication protocol that supports up to 115kbps speeds with up to 32 devices on the same line. The Aimco EG12000 also provides configurable serial communication settings such as baud rate, parity, data bits, and stop bits. The controller also supports hardware and software flow control to ensure error-free data transmission. Lastly, the controller also supports four modes of communication: master, slave, broadcast, and two-wire communications.
