Six
2844/7 OR001 is part of Alpha Six, an air defense system developed by the US Army in the early 1960s. It is a part of an electronic counter-measure system used to detect, classify, classify, and disrupt enemy signals. The system consists of a number of interconnected electronic systems, of which 2844/7 OR001 is the main unit. It is a large vacuum-tube based system that houses four signal processors, two discriminators, two counters, four modulators, and two signal absorbers. Additionally, it has an auxiliary power supply, two independent dual-channel signal adapters, and a signal mixer. In operation, it can detect, analyze, and jam enemy signal transmissions, including low-frequency and high-frequency signal jammers.
