Dry Chemical Powder
1. Ambersil Dry Chemical Powder is a mono-ammonium phosphate based dry powder extinguishing agent that is suitable for both small, localized fires and large-scale fire fighting.
2. The powder quickly smothers the fire, cutting off the oxygen supply and cooling the fire.
3. It is non-toxic, non-corrosive and safe to use on Class A,B and C fires.
4. It is designed for use on combustible materials such as wood, paper, fabrics, plastic and rubber.
5. The powder is also effective on flammable liquids and cooking oils.
6. It is suitable for use in any powder fire extinguishers up to a volume of 9kg.
7. It is easy to use, requires minimal operator training and is colour coded for ease of identification.
8. The powder is stored and transported in a resealable, water-resistant plastic container which helps to prevent moisture from entering the powder.
9. The powder is available in 2kg, 4kg and 6kg sizes to ensure the most suitable size is available for any situation.
10. The powder also contains a unique chemical indicator which emits a bright pink colour when the powder has been used. This helps to identify that the powder has already been used and should be replenished immediately.
