, AS3930 The AS3930 DEMOBOARD from ams is a fully integrated reference design for magnetic field strength-based lightning detection for outdoor lightning protection applications. It is based on the AS3930 lightning location system IC, an integrated device that identifies and estimates the distances of lightning strikes. It contains all the essential external components needed, such as an industrial-grade SMA antenna, to fully tap into the benefits provided by the AS3930. This enables system developers to evaluate the AS3930's capabilities and significantly speeds up development time. The board also includes an LIS2DE12 acceleration sensor, an additional AS3933 lightning sensor, three LEDs, and a quick setup jumper. All these features allow for a cost-efficient and fast way to build a working lightning detection system.
