It is a 3-channel Hall-effect based rotary encoder that provides absolute position feedback from 0 to 360° in digital SPI or TWI/I2C interface. It also features an innovative Tamper Status output to assist in secure authentication and unauthorized tampering detection. The AS5030-TS_EK_AB is housed in a 36-pin TSSOP package and has power-saving integrated power management functions, which allow the device to be used in battery operated applications.
