Output voltage is directly proportional to the light intensity (irradiance) on the photodiode. The device has improved amplifier offset-voltage stability and low power consumption and is supplied in a 3-lead clear plastic sidelooker package with an integral lens. When supplied in the lead (Pb) free package, the device is RoHS compliant. Measurements are made with R = 10 k between output and ground. L 4. Optical measurements are made using small-angle incident radiation from an LED optical source. 5. The input irradiance E is supplied by an AlInGaP LED with peak wavelength = 635 nm e p 6. The temperature coefficient of output voltage measurement is made by adjusting irradiance such that V is approximately 2 V at O 25C and then with irradiance held constant, measuring V while varying the temperature between 0C and 70C. O 7. Irradiance responsivity is characterized over the range V = 0.05 to 2.9 V. The best-fit straight line of Output Voltage V versus O O irradiance E over this range will typically have a positive extrapolated V value for E = 0. e O e Dynamic Characteristics at V = 5 V, T = 25C, p = 635 nm, R = 10 k (see Figure 1) DD A L TSL253R PPARAMETERARAMETER TESTTEST CONDITIONS CONDITIONS UNITUNIT MIN TYP MAX t Output pulse rise time V = 2 V 7 s r O(peak) t Output pulse fall time V = 2 V 7 s f O(peak) E = 0, V = V f = 1 kHz 1 e O D E = 0, V = V f = 10 kHz 3 e O D VV Output noise voltageOutput noise voltage V/V/HzHz n V = 2 V f = 1 kHz 4 O V = 2 V f = 10 kHz 5 O Copyright 2007, TAOS Inc.
