19-5348 Rev 2 1/12 78M6613 Single-Phase AC Power Measurement IC DATA SHEET DS 6613 018 DESCRIPTION FEATURES The Teridian 78M6613 is a highly integrated IC for < 0.5% Wh Accuracy Over Wide 2000:1 simplified implementation of single-phase AC power Current Range and Over Temperature measurement into power supplies, smart appliances, and Voltage Reference < 40ppm/C other applications with embedded AC load monitoring and Four Sensor InputsV3P3A Referenced control. It is packaged in a small, 5mm x 5mm, 32-pin QFN 22-Bit Delta-Sigma ADC with Independent package for optimal space savings. 32-Bit Compute Engine (CE) At the measurement interface, the device provides four 8-Bit MPU (80515), One Clock Cycle per analog inputs for interfacing to voltage and current sensors. Instruction with 2KB MPU XRAM Voltages from the sensors are fed to our Single Converter Technology that uses a 22-bit delta-sigma ADC, 32KB Flash with Security independent 32-bit compute engine (CE), digital Integrated In-Circuit Emulator (ICE) Interface temperature compensation, and precision voltage for MPU Debug references to provide better than 0.5% power measurement 32kHz Time Base with Hardware Watchdog accuracy over a wide 2000:1 dynamic range. Timer The integrated MPU core and 32 KB of flash memory UART Interface and Up to 10 General- provides a flexible means of configuration, post-processing, data formatting, and interfacing to any host processor Purpose 5V Tolerant I/O Pins through the UART interface and/or DIO pins. Complete Packaged in a RoHS-Compliant (6/6) application firmware is available and can be preloaded into Lead(Pb)-Free, 32-Pin QFN (5mm x 5mm) the IC during manufacturing test. Alternatively, a complete Complete Application Firmware Provides: array of ICE, development tools, and programming libraries are available to allow customization for each application. o True RMS Calculations for Current, Voltage, Line Frequency, Real Power, Functional Diagrams Reactive Power, Apparent Power, and LIVE Earth Ground Power Factor NEUT Isolated Supply o Accumulated Watt-Hours, Kilowatt-Hours o Intelligent Switch Control at Zero Crossings CONVERTER V3P3 GND o Digital Temperature Compensation A0 A1 TERIDIAN o Phase Compensation (15) A2 REGULATOR 78M6613 A3 o Quick Calibration Routines VOLTAGE REF DIO, PULSE o 4664Hz Line Frequency Range with 2KB RAM VREF DIO 4-8 Same Calibration DIO 14-17, 19 32KB FLASH TEMP SERIAL PORT 32-bit SENSOR TX COMPUTE ENGINE RX OSC/PLL 80515 ICE XIN MPU 32 kHz V3P3 XOUT ICE E GND Pin Configurations appear at end of data sheet.TIMERS Functional Diagrams continued at end of data sheet.
