System Management IC with Factory Programmed Quad Voltage Monitoring and Supervisory Functions AD5100 FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION Qualified for automotive applications The AD5100 is a factory programmed system management 2 device-enabling outputs with 6 factory programmed IC that combines four channels of voltage monitoring and monitoring inputs (see Table 1) watchdog supervision. The AD5100 can be used to shut down Two 30 V monitoring inputs with shutdown control of external supplies, reset processors, or disable any other system external devices electronics when the system malfunctions. The AD5100 can Factory programmed overvoltage, undervoltage, turn-on also be used to protect systems from improper device power-up and turn-off thresholds, and shutdown timings sequencing. The AD5100 is a robust watchdog reset controller, Shutdown warning with fault detection and can monitor two 30 V inputs with shutdown and reset Reset control of external devices controls, one 2.3 V to 5.0 V input, and one 1.6 V to 7.96 V 5 V and 7.96 V monitoring inputs with reset control of input. Most monitoring input thresholds and timing settings external devices have a range of settings which are factory programmed by Factory programmed reset thresholds and hold time Analog Devices, Inc. in the one-time programmable EPROM eMOST-compatible inputs (OTP) memory, or can be programmed on-the-fly over the Diagnostic application using V and V 2MON 4MON serial interface. Two supervisory functions The AD5100 is versatile for system monitoring applications Watchdog reset controller with timeout and selectable where critical microprocessor, DSP, and embedded systems floating input operate under harsh conditions, such as automotive, industrial, Manual reset control for external devices or communications network environments. Digital interface and programmability 2 The AD5100 is available in a compact 16-lead QSOP package I C-compatible interface and can operate in an extended automotive temperature range OTP can be overwritten for dynamic adjustments from 40C to +125C. Power-up by edge triggered signal 2 Power-down over I C bus Analog Devices provides non-OTP programmed AD5100 Operating range parts for use in evaluating the desired threshold and delay Supply voltage: 6.0 V to 30 V settings. Only factory programmed AD5100 parts are shipped Temperature range: 40C to +125C in production quantities.
