Bidirectional, Zero Drift, Current Sense Amplifier Data Sheet AD8417 FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION Typical 0.1 V/C offset drift The AD8417 is a high voltage, high resolution current sense Maximum 400 V voltage offset over full temperature range amplifier. It features an initial gain of 60 V/V, with a maximum 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply operating range 0.3% gain error over the entire temperature range. The buffered EMI filters included output voltage directly interfaces with any typical converter. High common-mode input voltage range The AD8417 offers excellent input common-mode rejection 2 V to +70 V continuous from 2 V to +70 V. The AD8417 performs bidirectional current 3 V to +80 V survival measurements across a shunt resistor in a variety of automotive Initial gain = 60 V/V and industrial applications, including motor control, power Wide operating temperature range management, and solenoid control. AD8417WB (8-lead MSOP, 8-lead SOIC N, and 10-lead The AD8417 offers breakthrough performance throughout the MSOP) and AD8417B (8-lead MSOP): 40C to +125C 40C to +150C temperature range (AD8417WH). It features AD8417WH (8-lead SOIC N and 8-lead MSOP): a zero drift core, which leads to a typical offset drift of 0.1 V/C 40C to +150C throughout the operating temperature range and the common- Bidirectional operation mode voltage range. The AD8417 is qualified for automotive Available in 8-lead SOIC N, 8-lead MSOP, and FMEA tolerant applications. The device includes electromagnetic interference 10-lead MSOP pinout (EMI) filters and patented (U.S. Patent 8,624,668 B2) circuitry CMRR: 86 dB, dc to 10 kHz to enable output accuracy with pulse-width modulation (PWM) AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications type input common-mode voltages. The typical input offset voltage APPLICATIONS is 200 V. The AD8417 is offered in 8-lead MSOP and 8-lead SOIC N, along with a 10-lead MSOP pinout option engineered High-side current sensing in for failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
