The ADE9078ACPZ-RL is an Analog Front End (AFE) Polyphase Energy Metering AFE, manufactured by Analog Devices. It is used for energy metering applications such as kWh metering, demand metering, and power factor metering circuits. This device integrates three full-wave measuring channels for voltage and current into a single, compact package. It features an integrated sigma–delta ADC for each phase with simultaneous 16-bit sampling, a high speed synchronous serial interface (SSI) for communication with a processor, an integrated power supply for the AFE’s analog blocks and digital core, and many more features. This device efficiently measures both active and reactive power of up to three-phase circuits with a high degree of accuracy. Additionally, it has power line surge immunity of up to 8 kV/5 km.
