Transmit VGA for Use with RF DACs and Transceivers Data Sheet ADL6317 FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION Transmit VGA for RF DAC, transceiver, and SoC to power The ADL6317 is a transmit variable gain amplifier (VGA) that amplifier interface provides an interface from radio frequency digital-to-analog RF output frequency range: 1500 MHz to 3000 MHz converters (RF DACs), transceivers, and systems on a chip (SoC) Internal balun with bias-tee to supply RF DAC outputs to power amplifiers. Integrated balun and hybrid couplers allow Integrated VVA attenuation range with on-chip DAC: 20.5 dB high performance RF capability in the frequency range of 2-stage high linearity amplifiers 1500 MHz to 3000 MHz. RF DSA attenuation range: 15.5 dB with 0.5 dB step To optimize performance vs. power level, the ADL6317 resolution includes a voltage variable attenuator (VVA), high linearity 50 differential inputs and 50 single-ended output amplifiers, and a digital step attenuator (DSA). All of the Fully programmable via a 4-wire SPI devices integrated into the ADL6317 are programmable via a Single 5 V supply 4-wire serial port interface (SPI). 38-terminal, 10.5 mm 5.5 mm LGA The ADL6317 is manufactured on an advanced silicon APPLICATIONS germanium (SiGe), bipolar complementary metal oxide 2G/3G/4G/long-term evolution (LTE) in FDD/TDD broadband semiconductor (BiCMOS) process. communication systems Table 1.
