These 1 kV digital isolation devices are ENCODE DECODE V 5 16 V IC OC packaged in a small 20-lead QSOP. They offer space savings and 6 DECODE ENCODE 15 V V OD ID a lower price than 2.5 kV or 5 kV isolation solutions when only V 7 14 V DD1B DD2B functional isolation is needed. V 8 DECODE ENCODE 13 V OE IE ENCODE DECODE V 9 12 V IF OF This family, like many Analog Devices isolators, offers very low 10 11 GND GND 1 2 power consumption, using one-tenth to one-sixth the power of Figure 3. ADuM7642 other digital isolators, with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 3.0 V to 5.5 V. Despite their low power consumption, V 1 20 V DD1A DD2A ADuM7643 the ADuM7640/ADuM7641/ADuM7642/ADuM7643 provide GND 2 19 GND 1 2 low pulse width distortion (< 6 ns for C grade) and a channel- 3 ENCODE DECODE 18 V V IA OA by-channel glitch filter to protect the device against extraneous 4 ENCODE DECODE 17 V V IB OB noise disturbances. Four channel direction combinations are V 5 DECODE ENCODE 16 V OC IC available with a maximum data rate of 1 Mbps or 25 Mbps. All V 6 DECODE ENCODE 15 V OD ID products have a default output high logic state in the absence of V 7 14 V DD1B DD2B input power. 8 DECODE ENCODE 13 V V OE IE 9 ENCODE DECODE 12 V V IF OF GND 10 11 GND 1 2 Figure 4.
