DS18B20Z+ Analog Devices

The DS18B20Z+ is a digital temperature sensing device manufactured by Analog Devices. It is a low-cost and high-performance temperature sensor which can measure temperatures ranging from -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 257°F). The device uses either a 3-wire serial, 2-wire bidirectional, or 1-wire bus interface to communicate with the host. It has integrated multiple alarm functions, 1-wire bus command support, and can be configured from 8-bit to 12-bit resolution. The device also features an integrated pull-up resistor for the 1-wire bus and an internal temperature rate (K-factor) calibration. The integrated temperature rate calibration ensures that measurements are accurate over time and the 1-wire bus commands allow for easy communication between the device and the host. The on-chip protection circuitry helps to protect the device from damage due to short circuits, over-currents and short-term overvoltages. The device also features a sleep mode to reduce power consumption. In addition, the DS18B20Z+ has efficient thermal isolation and stable readings over a wide temperature range.
