The DS2431Q+T&R is a 1-Wire EEPROM manufactured by Analog Devices. It is a 1024-bit EEPROM that has a 1-Wire bus communication protocol. The device has an 8-kbit user data space, while the rest is reserved for unique ID numbers, locking/protection bits, and other access control bits. It is used for non-volatile memory space in applications such as networked sensors, embedded systems, and RF identification. It is used for storing critical information such as configuration and calibration data, unique IDs, and user data. Its onboard security features include 64-byte ‘Read-Once’ memory, which can be used to prevent alteration of critical data bits. Furthermore, it is certified for automotive applications, and is designed to operate over extreme temperatures, from -40°C to 85°C.
