LT3061 Series 45V V , Micropower, Low IN Noise, 100mA LDO with Active Output Discharge FEATURES DESCRIPTION n Input Voltage Range: 1.6V to 45V The LT 3061 is a micropower, low dropout (LDO) linear n Output Current: 100mA regulator that operates over a 1.6V to 45V supply range n Output Discharge and is available in a series of fixed output and adjustable n Quiescent Current: 45A versions. The device supplies 100mA of output current n Dropout Voltage: 250mV with a typical dropout voltage of 250mV. A single external n Low Noise: 30V (10Hz to 100kHz) capacitor provides programmable low noise reference RMS n Adjustable Output (V = 600mV) performance and output soft-start functionality. The REF n Fixed Output Voltages: 3.3V, 5V LT3061s quiescent current is merely 45A and provides n Output Tolerance: 2% Over Load, Line, and fast transient response with a minimum 3.3F output ca- Temperature pacitor. In shutdown, quiescent current is less than 3A n Single Capacitor Soft-Starts Reference and Lowers and the reference soft start capacitor is reset. Output Noise The LT3061 features an NMOS pull-down that discharges n Shutdown Current: < 3A the output when SHDN or IN is driven low. n Reverse Battery Protection n Internal protection circuitry includes reverse-battery Current Limit Foldback and Thermal Limit Protection n protection, reverse-current protection, current limit with 8-Lead 2mm 3mm DFN and MSOP Packages foldback and thermal shutdown. APPLICATIONS The LT3061 is available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V n Battery Powered Systems and 5V, and as an adjustable device with an output voltage n Automotive Power Supplies range from the 600mV reference up to 19V.
