LT3960 2 I C to CAN-Physical Transceiver FEATURES DESCRIPTION n Protected from Overvoltage Line Faults to 40V The LT 3960 is a robust high speed transceiver that 2 2 n Up to 400kbps I C Communications extends a single-master I C bus through harsh or noisy n 4V to 60V Power Supply Range with Internal 3.3V environments at up to 400kbps using the CAN-physical 2 Regulator layer. One LT3960 sits near the I C master, creating from 2 n 3.3V or 5V Bus Voltage SCL and SDA equivalent differential buses (I CAN) on n Extended Common Mode Range (36V) two twisted pairs. At the other end of the twisted pairs, a 2 n Current Limited Drivers with Thermal Shutdown second LT3960 recreates the I C bus locally for any slave 2 2 n Power-Up/Down Glitch Free Driver Outputs I C devices.
