LTC1257 Complete Single Supply 12-Bit Voltage Output DAC in SO-8 FEATURES DESCRIPTION n 8-Pin SO Package The LTC 1257 is a complete single supply, 12-bit voltage n Buffered Voltage Output output D/A converter (DAC) in an SO-8 package. The n Built-In 2.048V Reference LTC1257 includes an output buffer amplifier, 2.048V volt- n 500V/LSB with 2.048V Full Scale age reference and an easy to use 3-wire cascadable serial n 1/2LSB Max DNL Error interface. An external reference can be used to override n Guaranteed 12-Bit Monotonic the internal reference and extend the output voltage range n 3-Wire Cascadable Serial Interface to 12V. The power supply current is a low 350A when n Wide Single Supply Range: V = 4.75V to 15.75V operating from a 5V supply, making the LTC1257 ideal CC n Low Power: I Typ = 350A with 5V Supply for battery-powered applications. The space-saving 8-pin CC SO package and operation with no external components provide the smallest 12-bit D/A system available.
