LTC1522 Micropower, Regulated 5V Charge Pump DC/DC Converter FEATURES DESCRIPTION n Ultralow Power: Typical Operating I = 6A The LTC 1522 is a micropower charge pump DC/DC CC n Short-Circuit/Thermal Protected converter that produces a regulated 5V output from a 2.7V n Regulated 5V 4% Output Voltage to 5V input supply. Extremely low supply current (6A n 2.7V to 5V Input Range typical with no load, < 1A in shutdown) and low external n No Inductors parts count (one 0.22F flying capacitor and two 10F n Very Low I in Shutdown: <1A capacitors at V and V ) make the LTC1522 ideally CC IN OUT n Output Current:10mA (V 2.7V) suited for small, light load battery-powered applications. IN 20mA (V 3V) Typical efficiency (V = 3V) exceeds 75% with load IN IN n Shutdown Disconnects Load from V currents between 50A and 20mA. Modulating the SHDN IN n Internal Oscillator: 700kHz pin keeps the typical efficiency above 75% with load 2 n Compact Application Circuit (<0.1 in ) currents all the way down to 10A. n 8-Pin MSOP and SO Packages The LTC1522 has thermal shutdown and can survive a continuous short from V to GND.
