LTC4056-4.2 Linear Li-Ion Charger with Termination in ThinSOT FEATURES DESCRIPTIO n Standalone Li-Ion Charger with Termination The LTC 4056 is a low cost, single-cell, constant-current/ n Programmable Termination Timer constant-voltage Li-Ion battery charger controller with a n No Sense Resistor or Blocking Diode Required programmable termination timer. When combined with a n Suitable for USB-Powered Charging few external components, the LTC4056 forms a very small n Undervoltage Charge Current Limiting standalone charger for single cell lithium-ion batteries. n Preset Charge Voltage with 0.6% Accuracy Charge current and charge time are set externally with a n Programmable Charge Current: 200mA to 700mA single resistor and capacitor, respectively. The LTC4056 n Automatic Recharge with Shortened Charge Cycle charges to a final float voltage accurate to 0.6%. Manual n Self-Protection for Overcurrent/Overtemperature shutdown is accomplished by grounding the TIMER/ n 40m A Supply Current in Shutdown Mode SHDN pin, while removing input power automatically puts n Negligible Battery Drain Current in Shutdown the LTC4056 into a sleep mode.
