LTC4401-1/LTC4401-2 RF Power Controllers with 250kHz Loop BW and 45dB Dynamic Range FEATURES DESCRIPTIO TM n RF Power Amplifier Control in ThinSOT Package The LTC 4401-1 is a SOT-23 RF power controller for slow n Internal Schottky Diode Detector with >45dB Range turn-on RF power amplifiers operating in the 300MHz to n Wide Input Frequency Range: 2.7GHz range. The loop bandwidth is set at 250kHz 300MHz to 2.7GHz (LTC4401-1) to improve frequency stability when controlling slow 300MHz to 2GHz (LTC4401-2) turn-on RF power amplifiers such as the Conexant n Autozero Loop Cancels Offset Errors and CX77301/CX77302, CX77304, CX77314, Anadigics Temperature Dependent Offsets AWT6107 and the RF Micro Devices RF3160. n Wide V Range: 2.7V to 6V CC RF power is controlled by driving the RF amplifier power n Automatic Bandwidth Control Improves Low Power control pins and sensing the resultant RF output power Ramp Response via a directional coupler. The RF sense voltage is peak n Allows Direct Connection to Battery detected using an on-chip Schottky diode. This detected n RF Output Power Set by External DAC voltage is compared to the DAC voltage at the PCTL pin n Internal Frequency Compensation to control the output power. The RF power amplifier is n Rail-to-Rail Power Control Output protected against high power control pin voltages. n Power Control Signal Overvoltage Protection n Internal and external offsets are cancelled over tempera- Low Operating Current: 1mA n ture by an autozero control loop, allowing accurate low Low Shutdown Current: 10A n power programming.
