EVALUATION KIT AVAILABLE MAX14713 Compact 6A Smart Power Path Selector General Description Features and Benefits The MAX14713 compact 6A smart power path selector Provides Robust Bidirectional Power Path features a low, 11m (typ) R internal FET and provides Wide Operating Input Voltage: +1.6V to +5.5V ON the system power from two separate power sources. The 6A Continuous Current Capability Integrated Two 11m (typ) MOSFET Switches device has two switches in SPDT configuration, with bidi- rectional current-blocking capability when the switch is off. Simple Power-Switch Design The MAX14713 features two individual enable inputs to Individual Path Control control each power path. Each enable input controls the Automatic Power Path Control corresponding path as an independent switch. However, Automatic Soft-Start when both paths are enabled, the internal comparator Powered by IN1, IN2, or OUT controls the path based on the voltage at input nodes. Long Battery Life The device also features an ultra-low supply current, in Ultra-Low Quiescent Supply Current 2.5A (typ) the operating or off states, for longer battery life.
