MAX16712 Dual-Output, 6A, 2MHz, 2.7V to 16V Step-Down Switching Regulator Benefits and Features General Description High Power Density with Low Component Count The MAX16712 is a dual-output, fully integrated, highly Dual-Output or Dual-Phase Operation efficient, step-down DC-DC switching regulator. The Single-Supply Operation with Integrated LDO for device operates from 2.7V to 16V input supplies, and Bias Generation each output can be regulated from 0.5V to 5.8V. The IC Compact 2.2mm x 3.5mm, 28-Bump WLP delivers up to 6A of load current per output. The two Internal Compensation outputs can be connected in parallel as a single-output, dual-phase regulator that supports up to 12A load Wide Operating Range current. 2.7V to 16V Input Voltage Range 0.5V to 5.8V Output Voltage Range The switching frequency of the device can be configured 500kHz to 2MHz Configurable Switching from 500kHz to 2.0MHz and provides the capability of Frequency optimizing the design in terms of solution size and -40C to +125C Junction Temperature Range performance. Three Programming Pins to Select Different The MAX16712 utilizes fixed-frequency, current-mode Configurations control with internal compensation. The dual-switching Independent Enable and Power Good for Each regulators operate 180 out-of-phase. The IC features Output an advanced modulation scheme (AMS) and selectable Optimized Performance and Efficiency discontinuous current mode (DCM) operation to provide 90.5% Peak Efficiency with V = 12V, DDH improved performance.
