MAX17047/MAX17050 1-Cell Fuel Gauge with ModelGauge m3 General Description Features The MAX17047/MAX17050 incorporate the Maxim Accurate Battery-Capacity and Time-To-Empty ModelGauge m3 algorithm that combines the excellent Estimation short-term accuracy and linearity of a coulomb counter Temperature, Age, and Rate Compensated with the excellent long-term stability of a voltage-based fuel Does Not Require Empty, Full, or Idle States to gauge, along with temperature compensation to provide Maintain Accuracy industry-leading fuel-gauge accuracy. ModelGauge m3 Precision Measurement System cancels offset accumulation error in the coulomb counter, No Calibration Required while providing better short-term accuracy than any purely ModelGauge m3 Algorithm voltage-based fuel gauge. Additionally, the ModelGauge Long-Term Influence by Voltage Fuel Gauge m3 algorithm does not suffer from abrupt corrections that Cancels Coulomb-Counter Drift normally occur in coulomb-counter algorithms, since tiny Short-Term Influence by Coulomb Counter continual corrections are distributed over time.
