EVALUATION KIT AVAILABLE MAX17515 5A, 2.4V to 5.5V Input, High-Efficiency Power Module General Description Benefits and Features The MAX17515 is a fixed-frequency, step-down power Complete Switch-Mode Power Supply in One module in a thermally efficient system-in-package Package (SiP) package that operates from a 2.4V to 5.5V input 2.4V to 5.5V Input Voltage Range supply voltage and supports output currents up to 0.75V to 3.6V Programmable Output Voltage 5A. The device includes switch-mode power-supply Auto Switch Light-Load Pulse-Skipping Mode controller, dual nMOSFET power switches, a fully shielded inductor, as well as compensation components. The device Fault Protection supports 0.75V to 3.6V programmable output voltage. Output Overvoltage Protection The high level of integration significantly reduces design Output Undervoltage Protection complexity, manufacturing risks, and offers a true plug- Thermal-Fault Protection and-play power-supply solution, reducing the time to Peak Current Limit market. Enable Input The device operates at a fixed 1MHz that requires Up to 94% Efficiency smaller input and output capacitor size. The internal fixed Power-Good Output constant gain at the error-amplifier output results in output-voltage positioning with respect to the load Voltage-Controlled Internal Soft-Start current. The fixed internal digital soft-start limits the input High-Impedance Shutdown inrush current at startup. The device also operates in < 1A Shutdown Current pulse-skipping mode at light loads to improve the light- Passes EN55022 (CISPR22) Class B Radiated and load efficiency.
