Evaluates: MAX17546 MAX17546EVKITB Evaluation Kit 5V Output-Voltage Application General Description Quick Start The MAX17546 5V output evaluation kit (EV kit) provides Recommended Equipment a proven design to evaluate the MAX17546 high-voltage, MAX17546EVKITB high-efficiency, synchronous step-down DC-DC converter. 6.5V to 42V, 10A DC input power supply The EV kit is preset for a 5V output at load currents up to 5A and features a 450kHz switching frequency Load capable of sinking 5A for optimum efficiency and component size. The EV kit Digital voltmeter (DVM) features adjustable input, undervoltage lockout, adjust- able soft-start, open-drain RESET signal, and external Procedure frequency synchronization. The EV kit is fully assembled and tested. Follow the steps below to verify board operation. Caution: Do not turn Features on power supply until all connections are completed. Operates from a 6.5V to 42V Input Supply 1) Set the power supply at a voltage between 6.5V and 5V Output Voltage 42V. Disable the power supply. Up to 5A Output Current 2) Connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the VIN PCB pad and the negative terminal to the 450kHz Switching Frequency nearest PGND PCB pad.
