MAX20332 USB Charger Detection with Integrated Overvoltage Protector General Description Benefits and Features The MAX20332 is a USB charger detector compliant with Consumes Less Power USB Battery Charging Specification Revision 1.2. The Low Battery Standby Current 5A (typ) USB charger detection circuitry detects USB standard Delivers USB Compliance and Flexibility downstream ports (SDPs), USB charging downstream Compliant to USB Battery Charging Specification ports (CDPs), or dedicated charger ports (DCPs), and Revision 1.2 controls an external lithium-ion (Li+) battery charger. Data Contact Detection for Foolproof Connector The device implements USB Battery Charging Insertion Detection Specification Revision 1.2-compliant detection logic. The Dedicated Charger Detection device also includes Apple charger detection that allows Standard Downstream Port Detection identification of resistor-divider networks on D+/D-. Charging Downstream Port Detection Apple Charger Detection The internal double-pole double-throw (DPDT) USB switch is compliant to Hi-Speed USB, full-speed USB, Facilitates System Design low-speed USB, and UART signals. The devices internal Integrated Precision 1.5A Overvoltage switch features low on-resistance, low on-resistance flatness, Protection (OVP) and very low capacitance. The ID pin controls the DPDT Negative Audio Capable DPDT Hi-Speed USB switch position.
