The MAX3061EEKA#TG16 is a 20 Mbps RS-485/RS-422 transceiver IC with fail-safe features, manufactured by Analog Devices. This IC is designed to interface between a data bus and computer logic circuits to ensure error-free data transmission over the RS-422/RS-485 connection. It features a 5 V supply voltage, an operating range of -40°C to +125°C, and incorporates a low-power shutdown mode that reduces power consumption to less than 1 µA. It also features receiver and driver fail-safe functions that ensure a logic high output for both receivers if the bus is open or shorted. This ensures nodes acceptance to receive data regardless of noise, ground offsets, cable length, or EMI. Furthermore, the receiver input hysteresis feature of the MAX3061EEKA#TG16 eliminates digital noise in the vicinity of the common-mode voltage transition point (Vcm), and enhances noise immunity for data rates up to 20 Mbps.
