MAX3600 19-4720 Rev 2 8/10 Laser Driver for Projectors General Description Features S Integrates Four Current-Output Laser Drivers The MAX3600 laser driver for projectors supports video imaging with red, blue, and green lasers. Each output S Compatible with Red, Blue, and Green Lasers includes a 10-bit video digital-to-analog converter (DAC) S 10-Bit Video DACs, f = 1MHz to 160MHz CLK with programmable gain and offset. For operation with S 8-Bit Gain and Offset DACs synthetic green lasers, the driver includes a periodic off S 2ns Output Switching Time function and a fourth output with a random-noise generator. S Serial Port Control The MAX3600B/R/G are monochrome drivers for blue, S Laser Enable red, and green lasers. The MAX3600A guarantees S Random-Noise Generator and Periodic Off higher full-scale output currents than the MAX3600, and is recommended for new designs.
