The MAX483CSA+ from Analog Devices is a +3V to +5.5V powered, low-power RS-485 transceiver. It is designed to provide full-duplex communications in harsh electrical environments. The device is capable of transmitting data rates up to 16Mbits/sec at a maximum distance of 1200m (4000ft) over twisted pair cables. The MAX483CSA+ is designed to meet the requirements of EIA/TIA-485-A, ISO 8482 and EN60701-1. It also has a control input that allows the user to control the direction of data transmission. The MAX483CSA+ is a low-power, 3V to 5.5V powered, low-power RS-485 transceiver. The MAX483CSA+ is capable of providing reliable communication for long distances up to 1200 meters (4000 ft).
